LEDs Magazine Recognizes ERP Power for Innovation in Constant Current and Constant Voltage LED Drivers at 2018 Strategies in Light Sapphire Awards Industry Gala.
Moorpark, CA – February 20, 2018 – ERP Power LLC (ERP), a leading provider of small, smart and connected LED drivers for the lighting industry, today announced the company’s products were honored with nominations at the 2018 Sapphire Awards gala – the featured event of the Strategies in Light Conference, The LED Show and Lightspace California. The ERP Power CDB Series and VLM Series drivers were named finalists in the 2018 Sapphire Awards as breaking through technical barriers, achieving new levels of performance, reliability, light quality, cost reductions, and other features to deliver on the potential of lighting in applications from healthier and smarter buildings to smart cities to horticultural operations. Winners are chosen by an independent panel of judges consisting of lighting industry professionals, designers, and industry leaders.
“We are honored to have been recognized for ERP Power’s industry-leading combination of compact size, extensive dimmer compatibility, wireless controls, programmable output, and high efficiency at competitive cost,” said Michael Archer, CEO of ERP Power. “ERP is accelerating the Internet of Lights by embedding intelligence, connectivity and dimming into a very compact footprint. The small, smart and connected ERP LED drivers ensure there is no longer a need to compromise the creative style or capabilities of new lighting fixture designs.”
“The Sapphire Awards gala recognizes and rewards the passion and forward thinking that inspires professionals across all sectors of the LED lighting market to continue to innovate and rethink function, design, and future potential,” said Maury Wright, Editor-in-Chief of LEDs Magazine.
The ERP Power CDB Series 260W next-generation LED driver design is one-fifth smaller than similar capacity drivers in the industry; programmable for flexible deployment in a broad range of constant current or constant voltage applications; intelligent with wired and wireless controls; and high efficiency to reduce electricity consumption. The CDB Series drivers are targeted for deployment in area, floodlight, parking garage, roadway, tunnel and other outdoor lighting fixtures. In a typical street lighting application, a single ERP driver can replace market alternatives that require two drivers. The ERP single-driver approach requires up to 60% less space at less than one half the cost.
The ERP Power VLM Series 40W / 60W / 100W next generation constant voltage driver architecture delivers power density up to 20 Watts per cubic inch in a package the size of two AA batteries. The new patent-pending power electronics design delivers more than double the density of the previous generation ERP platform, while delivering 5 times the power density of current industry competitors.
