Who We Are.

ERP Power designs and manufactures full spectrum tunable color light engines and small, smart, and connected LED drivers. Established in 2004, and headquartered in Westlake Village, CA, ERP owns and operates its own ISO 9001 certified manufacturing facility to ensure quality of design, sourcing, production and testing.

People can enjoy engaging, interactive experiences with light that improves productivity, perception, and comfort. Research shows LED lighting is the most commercially-viable approach to reducing energy consumption and utility costs nationally and globally.

Michael Archer

Co-Founder and CEO

Michael Archer has more than 35 years of experience in the power electronics industry with 40+ issued and/or pending patents, and recognition as a leader in high efficiency/high density power systems. Prior to co-founding ERP with Abdul Sher-Jan in 2004, Archer founded EOS Corporation in 1991, which grew past $40 million in revenue per year and placed fourth in the Deloitte and Touché Fast Fifty for Southern California in 1998. Archer has developed platforms and won leading positions at Dell, Apple, HP, Sony, Acer, Gateway, Sanyo and Panasonic.

Abdul Sher-Jan

President and COO

Abdul Sher-Jan has more than 30 years of experience in engineering and operations in the power electronics industry. From 1995 to 1996, Sher-Jan served as Director of Engineering at Valor Electronics, and later led the firm’s power division. He went on to serve as VP of Engineering and later VP of Operations at EOS Corporation from 1998 to 2005 before co-founding ERP with Michael Archer. Sher-Jan holds a BSEE from San Diego State University.

Andy Williams

Executive Vice President

Andy Williams joined ERP in 2011 to develop the direct sales and strategic business units. Prior to coming on board at ERP, Williams served as Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Automotive and Power Group at ON Semiconductor, growing revenues by more than $2 million. Williams also served as director and vice president of the Power Regulation Division at ON Semiconductor, and successfully commercialized a proprietary ON Semiconductor product technology. Williams currently serves on the Board of Trustees for the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology. He holds a BSEE from the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology and a MSEM from National Technological University.

Our History:

2004

Power supply industry veterans Michael Archer and Abdul Sher-Jan form Energy Recovery Systems (ERS), the parent company, to develop technologies for reducing the energy consumption of AC-DC power supplies while at the same time lowering their cost.

2005

ON Semiconductor licenses ERS’s proprietary technology for use in power supply control integrated circuits.

2006

Flextronics licenses ERS’s proprietary technology for notebook and desktop computer power supply products.
ERP – ENERGY RECOVERY PRODUCTS – is created as a separate product and manufacturing company.

2007

ERP releases its first product line, the UHD (“ultra high density”) series, which is 2.5 times more powerful than competing products of equivalent size with 35% lower power consumption.

2008

ERP’s Zhuhai, China facility achieves ISO 9001:2008 certification
ERP begins shipping its first LED driver to a top-tier LED lighting products manufacturer
ERP and ROAL Electronics enter into a strategic solid-state lighting agreement.

2010

ERP annual revenues exceed $10M.

2011

ERP introduces its ELP009/012/018 (9 W, 12 W, 18 W) LED driver series to the market.

2012

ERP and WPI sign distribution agreement for Asia.
ERP ranked number 134 fastest growing company on Deloitte’s 2012 Technology Fast 500™, a ranking of the 500 fastest growing technology, media, telecommunications, life sciences and clean technology companies in North America. ERP grew 781% during the period from 2007 to 2011.
Release of the ELM series, Constant Current LED drivers in metal case with TRIAC, ELV and 0-10V Dimming (10 – 100% range).
Release of the ELR series, Constant Current LED drivers in round plastic case with TRIAC and ELV Dimming (10 – 100% range).

2013

ERP and WPG Americas sign distribution agreement for North America.
ERP ranked number 205 fastest growing company on Deloitte’s 2013 Technology Fast 500™, a ranking of the 500 fastest growing technology, media, telecommunications, life sciences and clean technology companies in North America. ERP grew 507% during the period from 2008 to 2012.
Release of the ERM series, 50 to 70 W, Constant Current LED drivers in metal case with 0-10V dimming (10 – 100% range).

2014

ERP and Arrow Electronics sign distribution agreement for North America.
ERP ranked number 199 fastest growing company on Deloitte’s 2014 Technology Fast 500™. ERP grew 500% during the period from 2009 to 2013. ERP has been part of Deloitte’s Technology Fast 500™ for three years in a row.
Release of the EBR series, 6 to 21 W, Constant Current LED drivers in round plastic case with TRIAC and ELV Dimming (1 – 100% range).
Release of the ESS series, 6 to 40 W Constant Current LED drivers in small rectangular plastic case with Tri-Mode Dimming™ and 1 – 100% dimming range.
Release of the ESM series, 10 to 60 W, Constant Current LED drivers in rectangular metal case with Tri-Mode Dimming™ and 1 – 100% dimming range.
Release of the ESP series, 30 to 60 W, Constant Current LED drivers in rectangular plastic case with Tri-Mode Dimming™ and 1 – 100% dimming range.

2015

Release of the EVB series, 80 to 120 W, Constant Current LED drivers in rectangular long metal case with Tri-Mode Dimming™ and 1 – 100% dimming range.
Release of the xDrive series, 40, 60 and 100 W, Constant Voltage LED drivers + Dimmer Switch in 1 physical unit, with 1 – 100% dimming range. First LED driver of its kind on the market.

2016

Angeles Equity Partners acquires controlling interest in ERP.
Jeffrey Frank joins ERP’s Board of Directors.
Release of the UCP series, 4 to 17 W, low profile LED driver for under-cabinet applications.
Release of the EXPN series in collaboration with Avi-on to deliver plug-and-play intelligent LED lighting control. Constant Current LED drivers in rectangular plastic case with Bluetooth dimming.
ERP names Artimar as manufacturer’s representative for South America.
ERP is recognized as growth company of 2016 by the association of corporate growth.

2017

ERP and Digi-Key sign global distribution agreement.
ERP and Mouser sign global distribution agreement.
ERP and Future Lighting Solutions sign global distribution agreement.
ERP create manufacturer representative network in the USA with 9 manufacturer representatives across North America.
ERP names Vachik Javadian global vice-president of Application Engineering.

Release of the ESSV series and ESPV series, 10 to 60 W, Constant Current LED Drivers in rectangular plastic case with Tri-Mode Dimming™, 1 – 100% dimming range, 5VA flammability rating, and UL Class P.
Release of the VLM series, 40, 60, and 100 W Constant Voltage LED drivers. Highest power density in the industry (22 W/in³).
Release of the PDB260 and CDB260 series, 260 W programmable, constant current LED drivers with 0-10V dimming and with embedded communication.

2018

ERP is named a 2018 SAPPHIRE awards finalist by LEDs Magazine.
ERP and Maritex sign distribution agreement.

ERP optimizes an LED driver for LUMENETIX Tunable color light engines.
ERP and ELEMENTAL LED collaboration shrinks size and increases safety for linear led lighting.
ERP joins DIIA Industry Alliance for DALI Lighting Control.
Release of the PSB series, 30 to 50 W, Programmable Constant Current LED driver with Tri-Mode Dimming™ and 1 – 100% dimming range. Premieres at LIGHTFAIR® International 2018 in Chicago May 8-10.

2019

ERP is named a 2019 SAPPHIRE awards finalist by LEDs Magazine.
Release of the PHB series: 30 to 50 W programmable Constant Current LED drivers with computer-controlled dimming™.
Release of the DAL series, the world’s smallest 30 to 50 W DALI-2 driver for indoor LED lighting applications.
ERP acquires Lumenetix Inc. to simplify original equipment manufacturer integration and accelerate LED lighting fixture time to market.

2020

ERP is named a 2020 SAPPHIRE awards finalist by LEDs Magazine for LTM3 Tunable Color Light Engine and LT3E Tunable White Light Engine.
Release of the PTB series, 15 to 30 W, programmable, Constant Current LED drivers featuring Tri-Mode Dimming™, computer-controlled dimming™, and the industry’s smallest form factor.
ERP provides tunable color LED modules to relight Westminster Abbey.
ERP announces that their Araya™ tunable color LED modules with integrated control protocols have been used to develop a dynamic LED color-changing illumination system inside the Statue of Liberty flame.
Release of the PKB series, 20 to 85 W, programmable Constant Current LED driver with 0-10 V dimming for linear pendants and troffer applications.
Release of the PKM series, 30 to 50 W, programmable Constant Current LED driver with 0-10 V dimming for point source lighting applications.

2021

ERP introduces Araya™ third generation color tuning technology. The third generation Araya™ color tuning Logic Module (ALM3) provides automatic light engine detection to simplify lighting installations.
Release of the PLB series: world’s thinnest (0.72 x 0.72 in) programmable, 15 to 50 W, Constant Current LED driver for linear pendants and troffer applications.

2022

ERP receives the 2022 LEDs Magazine’s BrightStar award recipient for the TWM2, Universal AC Input Tunable White LED Modules with Tri-Mode Dimming™ (TRIAC, ELV & 0-10 V).
ERP participates in the LEDucation trade show in March 2022 in New York City.
ERP introduces Creston-Home-compatible tunable color light engines. ERP’s Araya™ Tunable Color Light engines, compatible with Crestron Home, are announced at LightFair 2022.

2023

ERP receives the 2023 LEDs Magazine’s BrightStar award for the CTM1AC, Universal AC Input Tunable Color LED Modules.
ERP participates in the LEDucation trade show in March 2023 in New York City and displays its new light engine portfolio.
ERP obtains the DECLARE certification for the PKB series. DECLARE is a platform to share and find healthy building products. Manufacturers voluntarily disclose product information on easy-to-read DECLARE labels. These labels report all product ingredients and use a simple color code system to flag chemicals of concern. Further information is provided on the product’s final assembly locations, life expectancy, end-of-life options, and overall compliance with relevant requirements of the Living Building Challenge (LBC).
ERP obtains the ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 certifications.

2024

ERP receives the 2024 LEDs Magazine’s BrightStar award for the TWM1, Universal AC Input Tunable White LED Modules with Tri-Mode Dimming™ (TRIAC, ELV & 0-10 V).
ERP names Infinity Sales as manufacturer’s representative for the West region of North America.
ERP participates in the LEDucation trade show in March 2024 in New York City and launches the Bianco™ family of white LED modules which includes the TWM2 and TWM1, tunable white modules.
